What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare and submit billing data and medical claims to insurance companies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical information
- Collect and review referrals and pre-authorizations
- Investigate and appeal denied claims, as well as work on front-end rejections and back-end denials
- Monitor and record patient payments while assisting patients in developing payment plans
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma required
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
- Solid understanding of billing, coding, and EMR systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and collaboration tools
