What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the escalation point for disputed charges, ensuring accurate account data moving forward
- Research and resolve non-routine billing questions and discrepancies
- Prepare correspondence to follow up with internal and external parties via multiple communication channels
- Close accounts for non-payment and manage container removals when appropriate
- Cultivate strong relationships with customers and internal teams to enhance customer satisfaction
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Minimum of eighteen months of related billing experience
- Direct experience working with customers in a billing function within a service-based industry
- Strong problem-solving skills to address billing discrepancies
- Effective communication skills for correspondence with various stakeholders
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in the environmental services industry or related sectors
- Familiarity with billing software and systems
- Ability to analyze data and provide actionable insights for process improvement
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and issues simultaneously
