- Develop and execute an aggressive customer acquisition and expansion strategy to generate annual growth in revenue
- Maintain key customer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company's customer base
- Working with the Regional Vice Presidents, Tanium Partner and Channel resources, to develop and prepare an actionable strategic sales plan for each named regional account
- Maintain awareness and status of all key regional contractual obligations, facilitating customer meetings and communications regarding deliverables where necessary
- Conduct weekly forecast meetings with regional team and coach the team on strategies to drive closure
- Report on regional sales activity and accurately forecast to sales leadership
- Support the recruitment, development, and retention of team members in the region
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Experienced with complex enterprise software sales, both as an individual contributor and as a sales leader, leading a team of Regional Vice Presidents
- 2nd or 3rd line leadership experience, leading teams in enterprise strategic sales
- Strong track record of recruiting, developing and retaining a high performing enterprise sales organization
- Experience managing top performing sales teams
- Proven history of exceptional quota attainment
- Knowledge and passion for reporting metrics and closing deals
- Strong operational and analytical abilities
- Intense work ethic and motivation to deliver above quota performance
- Demonstrates initiative and motivation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

The Basics:
We are seeking a proven Area Vice President of Sales for Southwest region. This is a second line sales leadership position, leading a team of Regional Vice Presidents. The appointed Area Vice President will play a key role in developing and executing the sales strategy for the region to ensure increased and sustainable growth and will take direct and hands-on responsibility for the delivery of sales targets.

What you'll get
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $140,000 to $415,000 and this position will also be commission eligible. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
