Develops documentation, updates policies, and ensures processes and procedures are developed and implemented to ensure a clear separation of duties in the management of assets of wards and to accomplish established outcomes.
Coordinates the possession, management, logistics and reporting of wards’ assets.
Responsible for collaborating, maintaining contact and liaison with all parties involved in the management of assets of wards in Harris County Resources for Children and Adults – Guardianship Program. Parties shall include case managers, supervisors, banks and other financial institutions, real estate professionals, county attorneys, probate court staff, vendors, storage facilities, etc.
Assists in the development of program documentation, forms and databases.
Provides supervision and training to staff as well as prepares performance evaluations on staff.

Prepares reports and attends meeting as required.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Science, or closely related field.
Minimum five (5) years of full-time paid work experience in finance, legal, or project management.
Minimum four (4) years of full-time paid supervisory experience in a social services setting.
Must have understanding of Estates Code, Guardianship Standards and Asset Management Guidelines.
Must be able to travel and drive throughout Harris and surrounding counties.
Training and experience using a personal computer with a variety of software such as Microsoft Word, Excell, and PowerPoint.
Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license (Texas) and auto liability insurance.
Knowledge of Guardianship Statutes and Laws.
Knowledge of employment selection and public relations.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated and possess excellent time management skills.

Harris County Resources for Children and Adults was founded in 1966 as the Harris County Child Welfare Board to provide support services for children taken under the wing of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Fifty years later, Harris County Resources for Children and Adults still provides this support. But the now-county department has expanded services for early prevention, intervention, and adult services.

Brief Position Overview:
Under the supervision of the Director of Financial and Business Services, this position works closely with the Adult Services Division - Guardianship Program to secure accounts for, record, track, manage, and dispose of the assets of wards receiving services through the Harris County Resources for Children and Adults – Guardianship Program.
