      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Represent the Department of Children, Youth, and Families in child welfare cases, including dependency, guardianship, and termination of parental rights
      - Evaluate evidence to determine legal sufficiency for court intervention
      - Consult with social workers and agency employees to prepare for hearings or trials
      - Review relevant petitions and documents, and perform necessary research and analysis
      - Communicate with other attorneys and guardians ad litem to resolve case-related issues

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school or completion of the WSBA's Rule 6 Law Clerk Program
      - Licensed to practice law in Washington State or actively pursuing admission
      - Commitment to public service as demonstrated by background and experience
      - Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced litigation environment
      - Strong analytical and communication skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in child welfare or family law cases
      - Previous work or volunteer experience with public service organizations
      - Understanding of the Indian Child Welfare Act and related legal frameworks
      - Participation in law school clinics or externships focused on litigation
      - Bilingual or multilingual abilities
