  **What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):**
  - Represent the Behavioral Health Administration in civil commitment hearings and litigation

  - Manage contempt hearings, guardianship cases, and appeals
  - Collaborate with a team of attorneys and professional staff on various legal matters
  
  **What is Required (Qualifications):**
  - Must be a licensed attorney in Washington State or actively pursuing admission
  - Strong written and verbal communication skills
  - Ability to work effectively in a team setting
  - Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
  - Experience or strong interest in litigation, particularly in mental health law
  
  **How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):**
  - Prior litigation experience is desirable but not required
  - Enthusiasm for working with individuals with mental illness
  - Commitment to public service and ethical legal practice
  - Experience in handling civil rights or health care-related legal matters
