What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Drive sales and operational goals in partnership with the Branch Manager
- Develop programs to promote new and existing products while managing marketing research for growth opportunities
- Underwrite assigned Worker's Compensation accounts and manage a profitable book of business
- Provide strategic and tactical direction to the Branch Underwriting team, ensuring performance excellence and customer experience
- Oversee performance management and development processes for team members, including coaching and mentoring
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and work experience in similar positions
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in insurance underwriting
- Minimum of 1-2 years of business operations management experience in the property casualty insurance industry preferred
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of Workers' Compensation underwriting operations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with sales or training in the insurance industry
- Extensive experience providing superior customer service and influencing customers
- Ability to read and interpret technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
