      Adult Social Care Community Business Support services in Staffordshire are looking to appoint an experienced Assistant Business Support Lead to work within Adult Social Care with responsibility for the Business Support Teams in both Lichfield and Tamworth. There will be an expectation that an equal amount of time is spent in each location. You will be part of the Management Team supporting the South East (Lichfield, Tamworth and East Staffs) working alongside colleagues covering these areas.

      Lichfield District Council House, 20 Frog Lane, Lichfield, WS13 6HP - band 5 - 18.75 hours per week - working Monday and Tuesday all day and Wednesday afternoon

      Main duties of the job

      We are seeking a highly motivated and committed Administrator to work within the Community Business Support team supporting Adult Social Care within our Partnership Trust. You will need to have excellent attention to detail, are able to work within a team and/ or independently, must have strong communication skills, good IT skills and a willingness to learn.

      The post holder will provide will be responsible for managing a group of business support staff, carrying out supervision and appraisals and the recruitment and management of staff. You will support the Management teams in providing timely, efficient and effective support, ensuring that services are responsive, innovative and provided to the highest standard possible. You should be self-motivated and able to communicate effectively with all disciplines of staff across the organisation.

      • Degree level qualification or demonstrate equivalent experience, skill and knowledge as outlined
      • Supervisory management qualification
      • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent
      • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
      • IT qualification to the competency level of ECDL/CLAIT

      EXPERIENCE

      Essential

      • Significant demonstrable experience in a senior administrative role
      • Experience of line managing staff, including previous supervisory experience
      • Experience of planning, organising and scheduling activities of self and team in a pressured working environment with changing priorities
      • Evidence of understanding, producing and analysing complex data sets or information
      • Able to produce documents, reports to high standards and to meet deadlines
      • Experience of electronic diary management and operating a 'bring forward' system

      Desirable

      • Previous NHS experience
