What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support Kitchen and Waste Reduction Managers in providing quality food services and ensuring smooth refuse/recycling operations
- Train and assist Kitchen Managers, providing ongoing support and resources for operational needs
- Conduct regular performance assessments and feedback sessions with Kitchen Managers
- Oversee day-to-day warehousing and delivery operations, providing coverage when needed
- Coordinate waste reduction programs and train staff involved in these initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of two years of college education
- Previous food service and supervisory experience
- Prior training experience in a related field
- Understanding of food service policies, safety guidelines, and kitchen standards
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and database management
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager
- Familiarity with waste reduction strategies and programs
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects effectively
- Experience working with diverse populations, particularly students
- Ability to communicate effectively and enforce policy standards tactfully
