      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Lead and manage development services, including engineering plan review, permitting, inspection, and GIS
      - Oversee transportation and traffic engineering operations
      - Maintain and recommend revisions to the City's Public Improvement Standards
      - Manage special projects involving multiple stakeholders and strategic planning
      - Serve as a key liaison to ODOT and Washington County for cooperative project management

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in civil engineering or related engineering fields
      - Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in professional engineering design, plan review, and project administration
      - At least two (2) years of supervisory experience
      - Possession of a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving history
      - Ability to obtain registration as a Professional Civil Engineer license in Oregon within six (6) months of appointment

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in civil infrastructure planning, design, and construction
      - Background in transportation and traffic engineering planning and design
      - Familiarity with development engineering and permitting processes
      - Strong project management skills with a proven track record of completing complex infrastructure projects
