What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Teach courses as outlined in collaboration with the Program Director
- Enhance teaching and mentoring activities within the School of Physical and Occupational Therapy
- Develop and pursue a scholarly agenda
- Participate in university, community, and professional service
- Communicate effectively with diverse groups, including students and faculty
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Terminal academic doctorate (Ph.D., DSc, Ed.D., etc.) or a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (DPT or tDPT)
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in Ohio (if applicable)
- Evidence of a scholarship agenda, peer-reviewed publications, or presentations
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to handle detail-oriented assignments while maintaining confidentiality
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience teaching in areas such as anatomy, therapeutic exercise, orthopedics, and evidence-based practice
- Experience teaching online courses
- Strong computer skills for online instruction
- Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to teaching
- Knowledge of legislative and regulatory issues impacting physical therapy education
