About this opportunity
Do you have a passion for finding and sharing stories? Are you energetic, creative and organised? Does the challenge of managing high profile staff events, creating great internal and external content, and dealing with a wide range of people sound like a challenge you’d enjoy? If so, we have a brilliant opportunity for you to join Lloyds Banking Group’s corporate affairs team.
You’ll be part of a team providing communications support to our Insurance, Pensions & Investments (IP&I) business unit, whose customer-centric purpose is to transform the pensions, protection and retirement markets through great brands like Scottish Widows.
Thousands of people across the UK are working together to deliver brilliant service and innovative products to millions of customers. Communicating our vision and the progress we’re making on this journey is critical to keeping our people engaged.
As an integral member of the team, you'll have the chance to collaborate with leaders, develop engaging communications for a variety of channels, and be part of a fast-paced, multi-disciplined corporate affairs function.
Here’s a sense of what a day in the life of an Assistant Communications Business Partner could look like…
You start the day leading a brainstorm with your colleagues, discussing upcoming activity, growth stories and how to bring them to life. You feel energised and inspired as you share innovative ideas and quickly put plans in place to deliver.
Next you dive into preparing for the next monthly CEO townhall, combining an in-person audience and thousands of colleagues joining online. You’ve worked closely with leaders and your team to understand the vision, translating it into an engaging and interactive agenda – now the heat is on to ensure it all comes together: content, logistics and technology. Your attention to detail and planning expertise will come into play here – you’ll need to manage speakers, content, external suppliers as well as your own team to ensure the session is flawless. It doesn’t stop there though as you make sure we measure the effectiveness of the activation to keep future sessions fresh and engaging.
Throughout the day, you engage with lots of teams across the Group, including creative agencies and technical experts. You thrive in a collaborative environment, using your excellent communication skills to build strong relationships and keep everyone aligned on objectives and expectations.
As the day winds down, you take a moment to reflect on the impact of your work. You feel a sense of fulfilment knowing that your creativity, organisational skills, and passion for storytelling have helped colleagues to connect with our purpose and strategy – and that they understand the role they’re playing in delivery!
