What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the Resource Management and Customer Service Division to achieve strategic, operational, and financial goals
- Collaborate with the Utilities leadership team to develop and implement the biennial operating and capital budgets
- Oversee the transition from bi-monthly to monthly billing, ensuring financial equity and sustainability
- Implement an enhanced Utility Bill Assistance Program to support customers in need
- Champion the City’s diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives while fostering a collaborative team environment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Eight or more years of progressively responsible leadership and financial management experience
- Experience in a public utility or public works environment is essential
- Proven leadership experience with large teams
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is required; a master's degree is preferred
- Strong customer service experience related to utility billing and rate structures
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in developing and administering complex budgets and long-term financial strategies
- Background in leading customer information systems (CIS) or utility billing platforms
- Familiarity with advanced metering infrastructure implementation
- Involvement in executive or senior leadership teams
