      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Build and maintain relationships with major gift prospects, managing a portfolio of approximately 70 donors
      - Conduct 12-15 strategic visits per month to engage prospects and solicit major gifts of $50,000 or more
      - Develop and implement a yearly strategic fundraising plan in collaboration with the development team
      - Prepare and write materials that articulate funding priorities and the case for support
      - Act as a liaison between donors/prospects and the university to ensure their needs are met

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Knowledge equivalent to a four-year degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or Business
      - 1-3 years of related experience in fundraising, public relations, marketing, or higher education fundraising
      - Proven ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team
      - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
      - Willingness to travel for fundraising efforts, including evenings and weekends as needed

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, public relations, or marketing
      - Professional fundraising experience in higher education and medical school settings
      - Knowledge of tax laws affecting charitable giving
      - Experience with "Moves Management" or related strategic relationship development
      - Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
