What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the development of legal strategies that align with business objectives and manage legal risk across the company
- Provide legal support on capital raising activities and manage legal due diligence
- Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements including vendor and employment contracts
- Oversee coordination with external legal counsel and manage corporate governance aspects
- Maintain a comprehensive legal document repository and ensure compliance with company policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of experience at a reputable law firm focused on corporate law, compliance, and regulatory matters
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with admission to practice law in Massachusetts
- Experience supporting venture capital or private equity transactions
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Experience in building and improving legal processes and controls
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in the consumer products or DTC/eCommerce industry
- Familiarity with website and privacy compliance regulations, such as CCPA and GDPR
- Background in IPO-readiness initiatives and SEC reporting
