What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide case management for pre-liver transplant patients, including inpatient discharge teaching and coordination
- Collaborate with the Nurse Manager to develop and implement unit policies and procedures
- Offer leadership and mentorship to nursing staff while ensuring adherence to best practices
- Monitor patient outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Address patient and family concerns while providing excellent customer service
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of two years of experience in Acute Care Nursing
- Knowledge and experience in Liver Transplant care
- Supervisory and/or Charge Nurse experience is desired
- Must demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare setting specializing in transplant services
- Previous involvement in quality improvement projects or initiatives
- Certification in a nursing specialty related to transplant care
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as EPIC
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
