What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Teach an annual course load of 24 semester hours (normally 8 courses) at undergraduate and/or graduate levels
- Engage in university, college, and department activities, promoting a positive university image
- Become proficient in the distance learning modalities utilized by the university
- Assist in faculty and academic issues as requested by the Department Chair and/or College Dean
- Attend all Department, College, and Worldwide meetings, and travel occasionally for meetings and teaching
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Earned doctorate degree in a relevant field
- Academic and professional/scholarly experience in the commercial space industry
- Strong background in research methodologies and publications
- Demonstrated experience in operations and space-related STEM fields
- Expertise in the commercial space industry, including business, security, scientific, and engineering operational principles
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Broad insight into the interdisciplinary nature of aviation/aerospace and related activities
- Strong interest in developing collaborative research projects in specified fields
- Experience with distance learning modalities or online teaching
