What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Deliver high-quality online instruction and mentoring to learners in graduate-level courses
- Guide doctoral students through dissertation and capstone processes, fostering timely completion
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop and enhance curriculum materials
- Actively participate in school governance and faculty committees to support institutional objectives
- Engage in research and scholarship activities to remain current in the field and contribute to professional development
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Doctorate degree required, with an earned degree as a Nurse Practitioner (MSN or Doctoral)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice as a Board-Certified Nurse Practitioner
- Experience teaching in higher education, specifically in an online setting
- Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licenses required
- National certification as Nurse Practitioner: Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Two or more years of experience teaching MSN NP in higher education
- Experience with curriculum development
- Scholarly writing experience and familiarity with APA style
- Active involvement in professional organizations or community service related to nursing education
