      Position Summary

      The Department of Psychiatry is seeking an MD/DO qualified physician to provide outpatient care to children, adolescents, and families while supporting the academic mission through teaching, supervision, and program leadership. As Assistant Director of the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program, the faculty member contributes to curriculum development, trainee evaluation, recruitment, and program administration.

      Key Responsibilities

      1. Clinical Responsibilities (Outpatient Services)
        • Provide diagnostic evaluations, medication management, and ongoing psychiatric care for children and adolescents in a department-affiliated outpatient clinic
        • Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, therapists, and primary care providers to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary care
        • Maintain accurate, timely documentation consistent with institutional and regulatory standards
        • Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and quality-improvement initiatives
      2. Teaching & Supervision
        • Supervise psychiatry residents, child & adolescent psychiatry fellows, and medical students in outpatient settings
        • Lead didactic sessions, case discussions, journal clubs, and skills-based seminars
        • Provide mentorship and professional development guidance to trainees
        • Model evidence-based, developmentally informed psychiatric care
      3. Assistant Director - Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program
        • Assist the Program Director in leadership and administration of the fellowship program
        • Contribute to curriculum design, rotation planning, and competency-based assessment
        • Participate in trainee recruitment, including application review, interviewing, and selection
        • Support ACGME accreditation activities, including documentation, program evaluation, and continuous quality improvement
        • Serve as a liaison between fellows, faculty, and departmental leadership
      4. Academic & Scholarly Contributions
        • Engage in scholarly activities such as quality-improvement projects, educational innovation, clinical research, or academic presentations
        • Participate in departmental and institutional committees
        • Contribute to the academic reputation of the division through publications, conference participation, or community engagement
      5. Service & Professionalism
        • Uphold institutional values related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive care
        • Maintain board certification (or eligibility) in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
        • Participate in faculty meetings, retreats, and professional development activities

      Required Degree

      Terminal -Human Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO)

      Minimum Requirements

      • MD or DO degree with completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship
      • Board certified or board eligible in General and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
      • Eligible for medical licensure in the state of practice
      • Demonstrated commitment to teaching, mentorship, and academic service
      • Experience in program administration or educational leadership preferred
