What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct ongoing scholarship in multimedia journalism
- Teach various classes in the Department's curriculum, including News Reporting, Broadcast News Production, Social Media in Journalism and Public Relations, Contemporary Issues in Sports Media, and Gender and the Media
- Develop curriculum and design new courses
- Participate in academic advisement, student learning activities, and co- and extracurricular student engagement
- Contribute to the growth of the new, interdisciplinary College
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ph.D. in Journalism, Communication, or a related field
- Ability to teach journalism skills courses
- Evidence of a successful publication record appropriate for an R2 institution
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience teaching at the college/university level
- Work experience in the journalism field
