What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Teach four asynchronous online courses per semester focusing on the generalist social work curriculum
- Provide academic advising to students, aligning with Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accreditation standards
- Participate in seven duty days on campus each academic calendar year
- Deliver high-quality online education and support for students’ academic and professional development
- Engage in program development and expansion initiatives within the social work department
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master’s Degree in Social Work from a CSWE accredited university
- Minimum of two years of post-MSW work experience
- Documented teaching experience in social work in higher education
- Experience with online course delivery and asynchronous delivery technologies
- Licensed as a social worker in Minnesota or able to obtain the license by the start date
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Terminal degree in a human services profession (Ph.D., DSW, or other terminal degree)
- Commitment to a student-centered approach in education
- Ability to work across differences and enhance cross-cultural engagement
- Experience in developing and expanding a social work program
- Fluency in two or more languages
