What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Pursue an active research program in Criminology or Criminal Justice
- Teach undergraduate courses in Criminal Justice and related fields
- Develop and deliver specialized courses that enhance the curriculum
- Provide career and academic advising and mentorship to students
- Participate in university, community, and professional service activities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a closely related discipline
- Experience teaching courses in at least three specified areas of Criminal Justice
- Established record of publication in scholarly journals or potential for future publications
- Ability to teach in both on-campus and asynchronous online formats
- Commitment to student engagement and mentorship in an academic setting
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous teaching experience as the instructor of record in at least two specified areas
- Experience in mentoring and advising at the college or university level
- Demonstrated research experience with a focus on undergraduate student participation
