What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Implement Maintenance and Operations plans in alignment with Agency and Region policies
- Serve as Acting Regional Administrator as needed
- Respond to public and governmental correspondence on behalf of the Regional Administrator
- Supervise managers of operational units, ensuring efficient maintenance activities
- Promote a culture of employee safety within the Maintenance Operations organizations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Proven leadership experience in managing complex organizations and diverse teams
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate and develop staff performance
- Extensive knowledge of multimodal transportation systems and practices
- Experience managing large-scale programs with oversight of significant workforce resources
- Strong technical communication skills to convey complex information effectively
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Current Professional Civil Engineer (PE) license in the State of Washington
- Experience with personnel management and leadership across diverse teams
- Understanding of the Agency's strategic priorities and ability to align programs accordingly
- Progressive experience in civil engineering or transportation operations management
