What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support and supervise a team of Direct Support Professionals
- Provide staff training, guidance, and performance feedback
- Coordinate schedules and oversee daily operations
- Ensure quality of services and engaging programs for individuals served
- Address concerns and assist in problem-solving during emergencies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience in developmental disabilities (DD) related roles
- Must become DD certified within 18 months of hire
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within health care or social services
- Previous training in developmental disabilities or related fields
- Certification as a medication technician
