Overseeing, analyzing and forecasting revenue-generating activities specific to business-to-business pipelines for working professionals programs.

Tracking key metrics, such as conversion of business development activities to applications started and submitted.

Developing and implementing a business development plan to create, and build on, business-to-business pipelines for working professionals masters programs.

Collaborate with representatives from different organizations – including corporations and professional associations – to secure recruitment opportunities.

Engage with representatives from various organizations to identify and arrange appropriate sponsorship opportunities, enhancing Rotman's brand presence and awareness.

Collaborating with Graduate Program Marketing to implement sales and marketing plans to increase awareness and articulate value-proposition of Rotman’s working professionals programs.

Collaborating with other externally facing entities at Rotman, including Career Services and Alumni Engagement on various business-to-business engagements.

Researching potential target markets to inform recruitment plans for working professionals programs from businesses and professional associations.
- Master's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Eight years or more experience in business development, preferably within a post-secondary or non-profit environment with senior level prospects and clients required.
- Advanced knowledge and proven experience developing strategic relationships with employers and industry partners
- Demonstrated experience both nationally and internationally in developing new business, and managing new and existing business relationships.
- Experience evaluating business opportunities and preparing proposals and negotiating contracts.
- Proven experience and understanding of business development practices.
- Experience with co-operative education, career, Work Integrated Learning or other related student services programs considered an asset.
- Must have strong computer skills including the use of word processing, database management, spreadsheet, as well as ability to adapt to and learn new technologies.
- Excellent presentations skills, includingbut not limited to PowerPoint and effective in-person and virtual presentation techniques.
- An good understanding of the student and employer market.
- Well organized, focused and goal‐oriented; proven ability to advise, to inspire confidence, to motivate and to persuade; ability to be flexible in working independently as well as collaboratively; exhibits initiative to organize and follow through with complex tasks to meet deadlines; ability to solve problems in a strategic and tactical manner.
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing sales and project/campaign management strategies.
- Requires advanced level of acuity to anticipate and synthesize impact of decisions made
- Ability to exercise independent sound judgment and critical thinking.
- The incumbent must be able to effectively engage corporate clients, business partners, university administrators, faculty, staff, alumni and students.
- Valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle required (regular travel within southern Ontario)
- National and international travel may also be required. Requires advanced level of acuity to anticipate and synthesize impact of decisions made.

Your opportunity:Reporting to the Managing Director, Recruitment, Admissions, & Business Development (RABD), the Associate Director will develop and execute comprehensive business development plans, events, and communications to position Rotman's graduate programs for working professionals to prospective professional students and client organizations in both domestic and international markets. The incumbent work will collaborate closely with the Director, Graduate Program Recruitment, who is the strategic lead for all recruitment at Rotman.
The role is responsible for the strategy and tactics to create recognition, interest, and demand for the working professionals programs, such as Executive MBA programs and the Master of Finance, and plays a crucial role in building the brand that articulates the benefits of a Rotman professional graduate degree. The incumbent will develop and build effective corporate, government, and non-profit partnerships domestically and internationally to optimize awareness of the portfolio’s offerings and maximize revenue generation.
By reaching and exceeding enrolment targets in programs for working professionals, the outcomes achieved by the successful incumbent will enable Rotman’s investment in existing and/or new programs. As the portfolio’s Business Development advisor, the incumbent is an active member of RABD’s senior management team, and will contribute to various advisory groups and RABD projects focusing on developing new business-to-business recruitment pipelines .
The Associate Director will be held to a high level of accountability by being a key contributor to RABD achieving enrolment and revenue targets being met across working professionals programs. They will work in close collaboration, where appropriate, with the Graduate Program Recruitment portfolio.
