      Position Summary

      The Associate Research Analyst supports the Property Tax and Research functions by conducting foundational tax research, managing administrative tasks, and assisting with compliance-related projects. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals beginning their career in tax research and analysis, offering exposure to business personal and real estate property taxes.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities
      • Research and analyze compliance matters relating to Property Tax such as tax due dates, depreciation schedules, jurisdictional addresses, electronic filing and payments, and form changes
      • Communicate with state and local jurisdictions regarding issues/irregularities
      • Conduct basic research on client questions and concisely summarize findings
      • Accurately and proactively maintain the Tax Resource Database for address information, assessment ratios, depreciation tables, due dates, and other data
      • Resolve tickets created through Property Tax Research (PTR) JIRA Project
      • Facilitate collaboration between Research, Training, Compliance, and Consulting teams


      Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities
      • Conduct research on department questions and summarize findings
      • Perform other duties as assigned


      Education and Qualifications
      • Associate's degree in related field required or equivalent work experience
      • 0-1 years of experience in tax research, compliance, or related fields.
      • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
      • Familiar with reading and understanding legal documentation
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Effective organizational and time management skills
      • Moderate critical thinking and problem-solving skills
      • Attention to detail is required


      Work Environment & Physical Requirements
      • Work Schedule: Regular, 40 hours/week
      • Travel: Less than 10%
      • Physical Activity:
        • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use
        • Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and sounds
        • Frequent repetitive motions with hands
