      What you’ll be doing

      As a member of the Internal Audit – Model Risk group, you will be primarily responsible for contributing to the execution of audit assignments with medium to high level of complexity focusing on credit risk models used for risk measurement, capital and management decision making (Basel II, Basel III, PD, LGD, IFRS9 models). In addition, you may participate in the model audits or projects covering other areas e.g. market risk models, Capital Markets valuation models, AML and Fraud models.

      How you’ll succeed

      • Audit analysis – you will provide analytical leadership in the execution of audits including evaluation of the following:

        • Model governance and management processes

        • Model development, design, theories and assumptions

        • Reasonableness of model output

        • Model validation

        • Model documentation

        • Model implementation

        • Model risk mitigating techniques throughout the life cycle of the model

      • Plan, lead and execute audits – In addition to performing assigned tasks as an individual contributor for model risk audits, you may act as an auditor-in-charge of small to medium size audits to develop audit scopes, resourcing plans and budgets. You will also provide support to model related projects and assist the Director in the annual planning process, on-going risk assessment, staffing and scheduling.

      • Deficiency management – You will review artifacts supporting implementation of the corrective action plans, assess whether committed actions are effective and conclude on risk remediation.

      Who you are

      • You demonstrate experience and understanding of quantitative techniques used in developing and validating Credit Risk models: PD, LGD and EAD. It’s an asset if you have experience with market risk management modeling and a strong level of awareness around emerging industry issues (e.g. Basel II/III and FRTB). Computing development skills, knowledge of mathematical, statistical and database modeling tools, e.g. SAS, R, Python would be a definite asset.

      • You have a graduate degree in an analytic discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or Quantitative Finance.

      • You are a motivated and fast learner who is comfortable with changes and willing to expand beyond your typical scope. You have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and conflict management skills are an asset.

      • You give meaning to data. You enjoy investigating complex problems, and making sense of information. You're confident in your ability to communicate detailed information in an impactful way.
