      Role Summary/Purpose:

      Synchrony financing products serve more than 100,000 Small Businesses from multiple industries such as Auto, Home, Music, Luxury, Sports, Flooring, Electronics, Jewelry and Sewing and more. We’re looking for a curious and driven marketer to support B2B Small Business Acquisition marketing. The AVP, will drive small business acquisition across Home & Auto and Lifestyles platforms. The role is focused on expanding our business by enrolling merchants to offer Synchrony Financing products. This position requires cross functional leadership, campaign planning and execution, analyzing results and driving merchant conversion (activation) .

Occasionally you may be required to commute to our nearest office for in person engagement activities such as business or team meetings, training and culture events.

      Essential Responsibilities:

      • Establish and develop key relationships within the Sales & Marketing industry marketing managers and Relationship managers. Maximize growth and optimize returns across Small Business enrollments.

      • Partner with the Merchant Experience enrollment teams to align campaigns, priorities, and forecasting to hit monthly/yearly business goals.

      • Partner with Client Marketing teams and Sales teams to develop and execute marketing plans through a variety of channels including email, direct mail, digital, call campaigns. This role will own campaign request submissions, project timeline, creative development, internal and client review, campaign documentation and budget.

      • Develop and execute marketing campaigns with agile mindset and ‘test and learn’ approach; evaluate and report on marketing program results; and refine and optimize future campaigns based on past learnings.

      • Partner with Analytics to track and communicate campaign performance, identify trends, and develop/alter segmentation, targeting and offer strategies based on insights.

      • Own and manage the creation of POs to support campaigns; Forecast and track marketing expenses.

      • Work with SalesForce, Marketing Cloud, Astra, outside vendors, COPS, IT, Performance Marketing, etc. to ensure efficient and compliant marketing campaigns.

      • Partner with the digital marketing teams to manage the coordination and implementation of offers on Synchronybusiness.com. as well as all relevant external partner, association and OEM intranet pages for prospecting.

      • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

      • Qualifications/Requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, OR in lieu of degree, 8 years of progressive experience in a marketing role at financial services organization.

      • 5+ years of marketing within a digital customer experience-oriented role within Financial Services, high-tech industries or retail.

      • Ability to travel as needed; ~ 10%.

      Desired Characteristics:

      • Knowledge or experience with any of the following: Salesforce, Marketing Cloud, Coupa, Rapid, or Business Center.

      • Experience within B2B retail financing sector, understanding of payments industry.

      • Marketing experience, including website management, development and/or digital marketing planning and execution.

      • Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills.

      • Organized, resourceful and results driven. Tenacity to get stuff done.

      • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously while working with cross-functional teams and external clients.

      • Collaborative team player with ability to influence across all levels of organization

      • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills

      • Can self-manage and work with a remote, dispersed team.

      Grade/Level: 11

      The salary range for this position is 90,000.00 - 155,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.

      Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.

      Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.

      Eligibility Requirements:

      • You must be 18 years or older

      • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

      • You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process

      • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.

      • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
