- Strategic Prospecting & Pipeline Development (20%)
- Identify and engage top-tier carrier and PA/MGA prospects.
- Conduct opportunity discovery meetings and deliver tailored proposals.
- Maintain a structured pipeline with regular updates and executive-level engagement.
- Client Relationship Management (35%)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders.
- Lead regular in-person and virtual meetings, stewardship reviews, and value-driven engagements.
- Proactively identify at-risk clients and develop retention strategies.
- Client Growth & Product Penetration (25%)
- Analyze current product attachment rates and identify growth opportunities.
- Develop and execute client-specific penetration plans with quarterly progress tracking.
- +1 Product Strategy (20%)
- Drive incremental growth by introducing additional products to existing clients.
- Collaborate with reinsurance brokers and internal teams to support turnkey solution adoption.
- Performance Metrics & Accountability
- Track and report on KPIs including proposal delivery, product presentations, deal value, and bound premium.
- Ensure all activity is documented and aligned with strategic objectives and timelines.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7–10+ years of reinsurance market experience involving underwriting and marketing
- Basic knowledge/understanding of reinsurance industry, underwriting standards, and competitive practices
- Basic knowledge and understanding of financial pricing models, methodology, and tools
- Demonstrated experience building and cultivating relationships with internal and external contacts
- Solid knowledge and understanding of profitability, growth, and risk concepts
- Understanding of advanced financial and statistical analysis techniques including actuarial techniques
- Knowledge of property, casualty and turnkey reinsurance

We're a specialty reinsurer of turnkey products where we strategically deploy our product and capacity for in-house developed products including Workplace Violence (Commercial), Violent Event Coverage (Personal) and Cyber Liability (Commercial, Personal & Farm). We also tap into the Power of Berkley and can bring bespoke offerings via operating units such as EPLI, Crime, Contractors Professional, MPL, Jewelry and more. We distribute through brokers or direct and enjoy partners such as carriers, MGAs, PAs, agents, captives, embedded partners & more.
Responsibilities
This role may be based in greater Philadelphia, PA and selected East Coast locations. You'll be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with existing clients by driving product adoption, launching additional turnkey solutions, and cultivating strong executive and operational-level partnerships. The position also plays a key role in developing and executing new business marketing and sales strategies through direct collaboration with BRTS leadership, as well as our network of carriers, brokers, and PA/MGA partners.
