      SusieCakes is now hiring for a Bakery Production Manager for our Austin Market!

      We are seeking a Production Manager that has a passion for the baking, leading a team, managing operations & production, and is looking to grow their career. We offer a competitive compensation package, benefits, PTO, 401k and much more!

      Pay range is expected to range from $21-24/HR + tips ($2-3/HR)

      Please note: This role requires experience in baking as well as leading teams. If you do not meet the experience requirement, please consider applying to other roles for this location when they become available.

      The Production Manager leads the culinary operation by means of baking and building of delicious cakes and other baked goods in house. They are in charged with ensuring the highest quality baked goods are produced in a timely manner by means of training, supporting overall safety, and developing the culinary team in the area of production management.

      RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Leads the teams by motivating, training, and developing the culinary team members in the production category through adherence to recipes and standard operating procedures including, but not limited to, cakes, cookies, pies, bars, puddings, buttercreams, etc.
      • Lead team in production of custom baked goods. Develop and trains skills in mixing, baking, and building.
      • Assign daily production to team members and ensure completion
      • Ensure all food is prepared, handled, and stored according to all required food safety code standards

      QUALIFICATIONS

      • Associate degree in Culinary, Baking or Pastry Arts preferred
      • 2 years of leadership experience in a team environment
      • Ability to work in multiple regional locations
      • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule according to business needs
      • Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

      PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

      • Frequent walking, kneeling, bending, and reaching overhead
      • Able to stand for extended periods of time
      • Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 75 pounds
      • Must be able to taste product for quality assurance i.e buttercream(s), cake(s) and cupcake(s)batter, cookie dough and other recipes as assigned.
