- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in business administration, public administration, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
- Two (2) years of experience in each of the following:
- Leading and mentoring large teams of five (5) or more employees
- Supervising and mentoring subordinate supervisors
- Analyzing information, developing key performance indicators, and making data informed decisions
- Writing information notes, briefing notes, decision notes, or equivalent, for senior leadership
- Working directly with other agencies, government entities, and clients in a service delivery environment
- Interpreting and applying legislation, policy, or regulations
- Leading in a service delivery or program delivery environment
- Leading and mentoring teams of twenty (20) or more employees
- Working for the Public Service or an equivalent environment
- Working with Child Care Programs
- Working in a Contact Centre environment
- Additional years of experience in any of the above experience requirements and/or preferences

Within the Child Care Division, the Child Care Benefit and Operating Funding Branch is responsible for delivering two of the ministry’s provincial-level child care programs and services: the Affordable Child Care Benefit and the Child Care Operating Funding Program including the Child Care Fee Reduction and Early Childhood Educator Wage Enhancement.
The Affordable Child Care Benefit assists eligible families by administering a monthly payment to help offset the cost of child care. Child Care Operating Funding assists with the day-to-day costs of running a licensed child care facility, helping child care providers keep parent fees affordable, providing fair salaries to child care staff, and maintaining quality child care in communities across British Columbia.
The Service Delivery Manager is responsible to ensure that legislation, policies, and regulations for this high-profile program are correctly interpreted, and eligibility decisions are consistent. This role monitors program delivery, evaluates effectiveness, and makes recommendations to ensure government and ministry objectives are achieved.

About this Position:

There are two (2) temporary opportunities available until May 20, 2025.
A permanent appointment may result from either temporary appointment.

Remote work is allowed. This position can work up to full time from their home in British Columbia subject to an approved Telework Agreement.
