1 Position Summary/Job Duties:
TITLE: barre3 Madison Sales Lead, Assitant Manager
EFFECTIVE: July 2023
REPORTING TO: Missy Dunn, Studio Owner
GENERAL SUMMARY: The barre3 Sales Manager position is an integral part of the barre3 studio experience. Their primary goal is to drive sales, with a strong focus on speaking to the barre3 brand, assisting in marketing campaigns, leading by example, and imprinting on other staff . They have a passion for fitness, while embracing whole-body health and community connection as equally important pillars of barre3. They are warm, compassionate, motivated and have a growth mindset. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills and sales experience. The Sales Lead is responsible for meeting and exceeding all key performance sales indicators for the studio, including membership sales and renewals, retail sales, utilization goals and maintaining enlightened customer service.
This is a quota-driven, hourly position, with potential to earn more with commission structure. Minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Relationship building:
• Build strong relationships with barre3 clients, create a warm and supportive studio environment
• Execute strong communication skills and a professional presence to staff and clients
• Leads studio previews/tours with new clients
2) Client Management:
• Actively engage in sales conversations by selling and upselling product offerings, classes and
retail to potential clients and existing members
• Retain clients with methods shared by owner
• Establish and maintain an effective referral program
• Maintains accurate records using established sales system
• Conducts telephone inquiries/follow up calls/customer care calls/etc.
• Follow up and follow through activities with all prospective clients
• Responds immediately to member requests, inquiries and concerns.
• Properly onboard new clients through established processes.
• Meets and exceeds sales goals
3) Retail Management:
• Review historical data to set and meet sales goals
• Be the top seller of b3 memberships, retail, and class packages; while also modeling best practices
around selling to all team members
• Work on special projects with studio owner including in studio and off-site events
4) Organization:
• Have a thorough understanding of MINDBODY Online
• Maintain a clean and sanitary studio atmosphere at all times
• Assist studio owner with managing email accounts, writing, client referral cards, client outreach, client accounts and communication
• Prepare team for daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly goals
5) Team Responsibilities:
• Including, but not limited to: monthly staff meetings and specific campaign meetings/trainings
• Participate in 1-2 workouts in-studio each week
• Work alongside Front Desk and Instructor Teams.
• Regular communication with Studio Owner.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent customer service skills - previous sales experience, with strong sales skills (experience working in a sales quota bearing structure highly preferred).
• Flexible to work day, evening and/or weekend hours as needed.
• Minimum of 2 shifts per week in-studio, with ability to work from home as needed.
• Ability to multi-task and excel in a busy environment.
• Functional computer skills required.
• Skilled in basic programs: google sheets, docs, internet, email, etc.
• Fitness & Wellness minded.
• Two years of education from a college or university, or equivalent combination of
education and experience is required.
• Available to substitute shifts.
• Have a strong love of learning.
• Strong communication skills.
• Act as a team player.
• Able to engage with clients about all items that barre3 has to offer.
• Passionate about the barre3 brand.
