      ROLE: BBBEE – TRANSFORMATION SENIOR MANAGER
      Job Description:

      Responsible for taking the Lead in supporting BBBEE Transformation with the execution of all BBBEE transformation interventions across all pillars across Oracle - ensuring that Oracle complies with legislative requirements and aligns to the business strategy. The key focus for the individual is to monitor the implementation of various BBBEE initiatives in the following categories:

      1. Ownership
      2. Management Control
      3. Skills Development
      4. Enterprise and Supplier Development

      5. Socio-Economic Development (SED)

      Key results/accountabilities:

      • Ensuring Legislative and internal compliance with B-BBEE Act and Codes, including B-BBEE Scorecard
      • Monitor transformation and B-BBEE legislative changes and updates
      • Assist with compilation of responses to draft legislations relating to transformation
      • Ensure audit and verification processes of Oracle's B-BBEE contributions and compliance are successfully conducted timeously on an annual basis
      • Draft and develop transformation strategy and execution thereof
      • Draft BBBEE Transformation Policy and implement it internally through consultation and training across the business
      • Support development and implementation of transformation action plans
      • Execution of detailed B-BBEE transformation implementation plans and initiatives
      • Co-ordinate the execution of transformation strategy and communication for all related projects
      • Improve BEE transformation scorecard to Level 4 minimum
      • Build strategic relationships with relevant stakeholders, internally and externally
      • Track Oracle's B-BBEE contributions and ensure the integrity of data and documentation of elements
      • Co-ordinate the BBBEE process
      • Support project management of transformation initiatives/projects
      • Be the focal point for any Oracle Internal Audits of the Transformation Department
      • Be the owner of the Oracle B-BBEE Plans and Philosophies
      • Ensure that all Lines of Businesses and HR are delivering on Employment Equity (EE) as required by the Employment Equity Act which has a direct influence on the Management Control category of the B-BBEE Act
      • Be the primary contact between Oracle and the Ponelopele Oracle Secondary School to ensure that our primary contribution to SED is optimized for the best result

      Preferential Procurement:

      • Top priority is to localize all procurement of imported content of cost of sales and operating expenses in order to maximize B-BBEE points
      • Constantly contact local suppliers less than a B-BBEE level 1 to ask for an action plan to get to a B-BBEE Level 1 with continued monitoring
      • Ensure procurement from QSEs, EMEs, >51% Black owned entities, at least 30% Black Women owned entities and Designated Groups
      • Liaise with Procurement to identify existing gaps and optimize services to be set aside for B-BBEE Suppliers
      • Report on current status of suppliers and future initiatives
      • Provide guidance on how suppliers should be evaluated and improved
      • Provide support to existing suppliers to increase their BBBEE credentials
      • Encourage suppliers to get independent ratings of their BEE credentials
      • Facilitate the creation of new suppliers where applicable
      • Develop relationships with Black Business groups to identify potential new Equity suppliers to Company
      • Participate and drive discussions with internal and external stakeholders about progress in implementing Oracle's Transformation plan
      • Participate in stakeholder transformation forums
      • Participate and drive information sessions to highlight major changes, challenges, strategies and action plans
      • Identify transformation risks and develop risk mitigation plan
      • Participate in B-BBEE communication meetings

      Leadership:

      • Drive transformation in the workplace

      Financial:

      • Possess a Financial Management and Accounting qualifications
      • Liaise with Oracle Global Controller Organization (GCO) for any changes to the B-BBEE Act for recategorization of inclusions and exclusions
      • Scrutinize the Trial Balance of Oracle Corporation South Africa (Pty) Ltd for the preparation of the following:-
      • Prepare all aspects of the Financial Reporting as required by the B-BBEE Act for verification purposes
      • Sign off all Financial and Accounting requirements for the Verification Agent in accordance with the B-BBEE Act
      • Prepare and obtain approval of the BBBEE Transformation budget
      • Track actual verses budget on all the categories of B-BBEE spend on a monthly basis and report this to the Oracle Global Controllership Office (GCO)
      • Supply monthly forecast of B-BBEE spend to Oracle GCO
      • Sign of and approve all B-BBEE procurement in order to obtain Business approval as per Oracle Procurement approval policy
      • Prepare, review and present the B-BBEE charge out methodology to the Oracle Lines of Business Financial Heads

      Skills, experience & knowledge requirements

      Education Level:

      • Financial Management and Accounting degree
      • B-BBEE Management Development Program
      • Be fluent in underlying legislation in the following:-
      • B-BBEE Act
      • B-BBEE ICT Codes of Good Practice
      • Employment Equity Act
      • Skills Development Act
      • Understanding and knowledge of King IV
      • Companies Act
      • NIPP
      • Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act

      Experience:

      • 8 years of relevant experience in a Transformation role
      • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Transformation role at management/EXCO level
      • Experience with Equity Equivalent Investment Program

      Direct all marketing activities within the context of the overall corporate plan for the achievement of short and long term business objectives, increased profit and market control. Be an active member of the global Marketing team to ensure consistency of marketing campaigns and messages. Disseminate key corporate information to the line-of-business or geography operations pertaining to new product development/launches. Act as a liaison with managing directors to ensure that marketing activities are in support of sales plans. Direct marketing resources and budget to be deployed using the most appropriate marketing mix for the line-of-business or geography. Focus on best practice and continuous improvement in all business and management activities. Ensure consistency between global directions and line-of-business and single-geography implementation choices. Implement and monitor advertising campaigns on a global or geographic basis. Manage the activities of the staff according to overall marketing strategies and budgets; through motivation and maintaining high level of individual / team performance.       Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet business needs. Software business management experience. Sales and Marketing experience in the IT industry. E-business + Internet practical know-how. Professional credentials in Marketing, Academic credentials desirable. Past experience in Sales desirable.
