What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a lead worker within the assigned functional area of the Billing Division
- Support the Billing Supervisor by addressing questions and handling issues in their absence
- Provide training to billing unit staff and assist with the completion of assigned tasks
- Review and monitor billing files and charges, identifying and resolving issues
- Analyze external billing changes and ensure internal compliance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of three years of experience in healthcare billing, including problem identification and resolution; medical coding experience is preferred
- Extensive knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and third-party insurance billing and coding
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines
- Proficiency in operating personal computers and relevant software

- Experience with computerized accounting and reporting systems
- Familiarity with department policies and procedures, billing software, and applications
- Proven ability to develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with stakeholders
- Knowledge of project management techniques
