What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide supplemental accounts receivable support for assigned accounts and payer follow-up activities
- Analyze unpaid, underpaid, and denied claims to identify root causes and required actions
- Review EOBs, remittances, and payer correspondence to resolve outstanding balances
- Submit corrected claims, appeals, and reconsiderations with appropriate documentation
- Document all actions and outcomes within the client's patient accounting system
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in commercial healthcare billing
- Proficiency with Cerner Community Works EHR (Oracle Health Communityworks)
- Experience in claims processing, invoicing, and medical billing
- Ability to analyze aging reports and handle appeals effectively
- Strong communication and organizational skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Medicare and Medicaid billing processes
- Familiarity with payer portals for follow-up activities
- Knowledge of industry trends impacting cash flow and denials
