What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide efficient and effective account receivable services to maximize reimbursement for member clients
- Accurately bill various insurance types, including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance
- Monitor accounts receivables, check claim status, and resubmit claims for overdue accounts
- Post patient payments and resolve credit balances while maintaining accurate billing records
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with patients, payers, and team members
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of progressive experience in a similar role; 2 years of applicable experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED required; some higher education preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and billing processes for Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance
- Experience with EPIC software preferred
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) or Rural Health Clinics (RHC)
- Familiarity with collection processes and strategies
- Strong customer service skills with a compassionate approach
- Experience in billing and data entry tasks
- Ability to work independently in a home office environment
