What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Complete projects and support data science and quantitative ecology workflows
- Format and analyze data collected on natural resource vital signs
- Assist in analyzing and reporting on long-term ecological monitoring in National Parks
- Develop scripts, data visualization tools, and statistical models
- Contribute to various projects based on interest and skills
What is Required (Qualifications):
- General knowledge of data science concepts and principles
- Proficiency in R and/or Python
- Experience with Esri software packages for GIS
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with water quality monitoring, ecological research, or vegetation monitoring
- Skills in successful teamwork and relationship building
- Interest in using science to inform management decisions
