We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Event and Integrated Marketing leader to lead our most important events and bring an integrated marketing approach to our business for our Print & Kindle Books businesses in Europe. In this multi-faceted role, you will define your vision of how to inspire customers across Europe to find and enjoy their next read through already existing top tier events or through defining new opportunities. Working backwards from customer insights that your team owns, develops and regularly inspects, you will have the opportunity to shape how customers discover and shop for books on Amazon, partnering with multiple diverse stakeholders in different local and global teams.
The ideal candidate will operate both at the strategic (event vision, 3yr planning) and operational level (inspecting program milestones, designing marketing campaigns, writing business requirements, forecasting inputs and outputs etc.), and will have a strong background in marketing strategy, and cross-functional team leadership. You will show hustle, take ownership and help foster a high-energy, high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
* Craft the Blueprint of Success: Develop and curate a yearly calendar that seamlessly weaves together local and global events with integrated marketing opportunities
* Architect the Event Hierarchy: Pioneer an innovative events tiering strategy that maximizes our resources and amplifies our impact, turning every occasion into a golden opportunity.
* Engineer Tailored Marketing Marvels: Unleash your creativity to design bespoke marketing strategies for each event, guaranteeing our message resonates with pinpoint precision.
* Orchestration of Resources: Lead and inspire cross-functional teams, harmonizing diverse skills and perspectives to orchestrate flawlessly executed events that leave lasting impressions.
Opportunity Identification:
* Uncover Hidden Gems: Sharpen your senses to spot and seize incremental occasions, synergy opportunities, and real-time trends. Your keen eye will transform fleeting moments into lasting impact.
* Ride the Waves of Culture: Dive into the currents of new releases and zeitgeist moments - from the glitz of the Oscars to the viral world of TikTok trends. Your cultural savvy will keep us surfing at the crest of relevance.

Performance Measurement and Reporting:
* Define Success: Thoughtfully craft success criteria, metrics, and forecasts for each event, planting the seeds for measurable growth and achievement.
* Garden of Insights: Carefully develop and implement strategies to measure event performance, allowing us to understand and nurture our efforts.
* Cultivate a Field of Discovery: Gently guide our team in creating experimentation and learning strategies for copy, targeting, and creative approaches, fostering an environment where innovation can bloom.
* Share the Harvest of Knowledge: Humbly present our results in relevant forums, such as Weekly and Quarterly Business Reviews, ensuring that the fruits of our labor are shared and appreciated.
Communication and Collaboration:
* Make the right prioritization assesment: Become the guiding light that clearly articulates our Above-the-Line (ATL) and Below-the-Line (BTL) marketing strategies depending on clear prioritization models
* Illuminate the Marketing Landscape: Your crystal-clear communication will empower local teams and stakeholders, turning intricate plans into actionable insights that inspire and motivate.
* Architect the Information Superhighway: Establish mechanisms that bridge the gap between teams, creating a seamless flow of crucial inputs and reports. Your innovative approach will transform siloed information into a collaborative ecosystem.
- Experience in professional non-internship marketing
- Experience in developing and managing acquisition marketing or channel programs
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience developing and executing campaigns across a multitude of timezones and languages- Experience driving direction and alignment with large cross-functional teams and agency partners
- Experience designing and executing joint marketing plans with strategic alliance partners with global footprint
