What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop, prepare, analyze, and revise budgets and supporting schedules for assigned program areas
- Perform review and analysis of budget program and policy issues and recommend actions to management
- Consult with management to ensure budget adjustments align with program changes
- Maintain financial records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Prepare and generate required reports based on budgetary analyses for management review
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate degree in accounting, business/public administration, or finance from an accredited institution
- Minimum of four (4) years of fiscal analysis job-related experience
- Alternatively, two (2) years of experience at the lower level Budget Analyst 2 or equivalent position
- Experience in analyzing agency budgeting and accounting reports to maintain expenditure controls
- Knowledge of developing and monitoring budgets in accordance with departmental instructions
