      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Lead the development and monitoring of the agency budget
      - Create and distribute monthly budget activity reports with analyses and solutions
      - Coordinate the fiscal note requests and compile feedback for legislative inquiries
      - Analyze budget irregularities and notify accounting for corrections
      - Prepare and maintain various financial reports, including revenue reports and performance measures

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Nine (9) years of combined relevant experience and education in budget development and reporting
      - Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in creating Pivot tables and using formulas like VLOOKUP and IF/SUMIF
      - Strong research and analytical skills to evaluate data and provide recommendations
      - Excellent relationship-building skills to foster productive working relationships
      - Effective communication skills for conveying complex information clearly

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in a government or public sector budgeting role
      - Familiarity with performance measure updates in budgeting systems
      - Knowledge of fiscal note processes and legislative budget inquiries
      - Participation in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging initiatives
      - Understanding of state budgeting laws and regulations
