- Build Power BI dashboards and reports to deliver business and operational insights
- Use SQL to extract, transform, and prepare data for analysis
- Gather and document requirements in dynamic or ambiguous environments
- Translate technical findings into clear, business-friendly insights and presentations
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and IT teams to support data-driven initiatives
- Support stakeholder meetings, workshops, and reporting needs
- 3-6 years of Business Analyst experience with a strong data/reporting focus
- Hands-on Power BI experience building dashboards and visualizations
- Strong SQL skills for data querying and preparation
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-facing experience
- Experience working cross-functionally with technical teams
- Azure Log Analytics and/or KQL
- Experience with security, infrastructure, or operational metrics
- Agile environment experience (Azure DevOps preferred)
Position: Business Analyst (Power Bi/Security/Azure) - Contractor
Location: 100% Remote (CST or EST - Mainland USA-based candidates ONLY)
Contract Length: Long Term Contract through the end of year (with likely extensions)
Target Pay: $40/hr W2 (Benefits eligible after 60 days)
Benefits: Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) eligible after 60 days
Work Authorization: TN, EAD-GC, GC, or US Citizens only - Must be authorized to work in the United States

An engineering-focused professional consulting firm is seeking a Business Analyst to support a large, high-visibility initiative with a major energy enterprise organization. This role is highly data-driven, with a focus on building dashboards, analyzing data, and translating technical insights into actionable business outcomes. You will partner closely with engineering, security, and IT operations teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
