      About the role
      As a Business Development Assistant - CORE at Latham, you will be a member of a dedicated team positioned to interact with and provide support to the Business Development Department globally. Role and responsibilities include:

      • Supporting the global Business Development department with a suite of core services, including:
        • Client intelligence research, including liaising with the library for dossiers, and utilizing BoardEx, LinkedIn, and other online databases
        • Research for client seminars and events
        • Lawyer biographies
        • Client relationship research and updates using InterAction
        • Generating basic marketing collateral
        • General administrative support
      • Providing a high level of customer service to internal and external clients
      • Proactively keeping abreast of firm resources, contacts and subject matter experts
      • Learning the entire suite of BD and Latham-specific tools and applications
      • Supporting on a variety of special projects


      As a Business Development Assistant - CORE, you will be expected to apply your organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude. The successful Business Development Assistant - CORE must have attention to detail, and good proofreading skills as well as a willingness to complete all tasks and learn new skills. Organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines are required.


      A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. A minimum of one (1) year of experience, preferably in professional services or at a law firm, is preferred.

      Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location. Discretionary bonuses may be awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance — and profit-sharing partnership contributions to 401(k) accounts may be given based on firm performance.
