      About the role


      Being a Business Development Executive at Tyro means to represent Tyro's sales team at the highest level, both internally and externally. A Tyro BDE drives growth through the fostering of relationships with key partners, a proven ability to exceed sales KPIs, and delivering a level of service and attitude that embodies our company values.       What you'll do
      • Uphold and contribute to Tyro’s strong risk culture by complying with our policies, completing mandatory training and identifying and managing risks within your day-to-day work
      • Meet and exceed monthly sales targets and scorecard metrics, demonstrating consistent and sustained performance.
      • Making sure that Customer Satisfaction targets with newly recruited businesses are met
      • Build detailed understanding of Tyro and competitor pricing, and can complete cost comparisons and business proposals as required; without assistance.
      • Generate and maintain various external relationships with partners to assist in driving lead referrals.
      • Attend expos and other external events and represent Tyro in a professional manner
      • Generate referrals for new business by fostering strong relationships with new customers
      • Convert Tyro’s partner leads, with detailed reporting back to the BDM on quality for further partnership development
      • Be seen throughout the business as a “sales leader”, and to be leveraged in research and product development.
      • Pro-actively look for opportunities to up-sell Tyro banking products within
      • Proactively seek to expand their knowledge on Tyro’s products and services and stay up to date with any changes
      • Work with on-boarding specialists, customer support, and risk assessment to ensure customers have an excellent on-boarding experience
      • Work collaboratively with Account Management, Marketing and product departments to execute sales strategies as Tyro introduces enhancements to existing solutions and/or releases new products
      • Ensuring that all new prospects understand Tyro’s offerings and products
      • Learn and maintain a high level of industry and competitor knowledge
      • Serve as a brand enthusiast for Tyro’s suite of products & services
      • Coordinate and deliver quality to customers - through admin, email and phone based communication
      • Be a team player within your team. Help your peers so they can help you
      • Bring your thinking, strategies and ideas to advance our company’s values, unique culture and vision for the future


      What you'll bring
      • At least 2-3 year of polished sales experience (phone based or face-to-face)
      • Knowledge in financial services or tech industry would be desirable but not essential
      • Experience with KPIs and sales targets
      • The ability to build business relationships and manage them effectively
      • Work well with internal stakeholders
      • High level of organisation and attention to detail
