- Management and daily review of all procurement portals/websites, identifying and circulating suitable opportunities to Business Development Manager and Heads of Innovation and Growth
- Produce comprehensive and detailed research on upcoming tender opportunities and support existing services to prepare for retender.
- Attend, prepare for and contribute to pre-tender meetings.
- Plan, develop and write a range of tender responses across a range of subject areas/service types.
- Identify, analyse and address all specification and evaluation requirements relevant to specific tender responses.
- Work with the Senior Leadership Team and wider teams to ensure our service offer is clearly, consistently and accurately articulated.
- Collate local knowledge, research, evidence and data to ensure tender responses are tailored to commissioner and local needs.
- Project manage writing of smaller tenders, including contributions from others, with support from the Business Development Manager
- Produce a range of engaging diagrams/other images to enhance written content.
- Respond positively to feedback from other team members and Senior Leadership Team addressing required changes.
- Ensure all work is submitted for review on time and that quality standards are met.
- Follow team processes and conventions including for filing and version control.
- Responsibility for completing Selection Questionnaires with organisational information
- Support preparation for tender handover and initial implementation meetings following contract award.
- Sourcing previously used text and adapting it to meet the needs of the specific question
- Contribute to the upkeep of the team’s best practice resources, materials and tools
- Oversee the clarification question process in conjunction with the Tenders Team and Directors/other stakeholders as required.
- Support the Business Development Manager in working closely with the Senior Leadership Team and external stakeholders to develop compelling, compliant, and competitive tender responses, including attending pre-tender meetings with relevant Senior Leadership Team to positively position Bounce Back and help influence partners.
- Work with wider team to ensure the availability of relevant case studies, stories, photos etc that can be used to communicate our impact to all our stakeholders and support future funding bids.
- Experience of writing successful tenders, proposals or grant submissions, or other technical/professional writing experience e.g., marketing, research or journalism.
- Experience of researching, collating, and evaluating information and data from a wide range of sources – presenting this is an accessible format
- Ability to write clearly and concisely to word count, constructively receiving and implementing feedback
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of quality
- Good understanding of charity sector and in particular the barriers faced by people with a history of offending, at risk of offending and/or substance use
- Demonstrable experience of maintaining administrative processes and knowledge of general office procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills that enable connection with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong IT skills, including proven experience of using and maintaining a database

As a Business Development Lead you will contribute to the design, development and delivery of our services and ultimately help us to deliver on our organisational aims, strategy and values through our services.
You will support the Business Development Manager to constantly improve the quality our work by thinking creatively, sharing your own knowledge and experiences, and challenging existing ways of working.
Base: Southwark Bridge Road, London (including remote working)
Salary: £35,000
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
