      Remote Business Development Leader

      Job Type: $1000/month with earned commissions

      Expected Hours: 40 hours per week

      Business Development Leader

      This is an individual contributor role for a self-managed, performance-driven sales professional. We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, technical sales environment and takes full ownership of generating new business. You will be responsible for uncovering opportunities, generating RFQs weekly, and personally driving revenue growth through understanding of our precision sheet metal and CNC capabilities and your closing ability. If you're waiting to be managed, this is not the job for you.

      New Business Development (Hunter Mentality Required)

      • Proactively identify and engage new prospects using tools like ThomasNet, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn—no one is going to hand you leads.
      • Generate a minimum of 10 qualified RFQs per week—measured and reported weekly without exception.
      • Conduct cold outreach and schedule in-person or virtual intro meetings with engineers, buyers, and decision-makers.
      • Match prospect needs to our manufacturing strengths in precision sheet metal, CNC machining, and turnkey assembly.
      • Account Management & Sales Execution
      • Manage the full sales cycle independently—from prospecting to quote follow-up to deal closure.
      • Conduct on-site client visits to build rapport, understand project needs, and position our capabilities effectively.
      • Coordinate directly with estimating and operations to move quotes through the pipeline efficiently.
      • Maintain all opportunity and activity records in the CRM—no exceptions, no shortcuts: no records no compensation.
      • Share feedback from the field to inform pricing, positioning, and customer service improvements.
      • Take full responsibility for your pipeline, activity level, and results—this is your book of business.
      • Demonstrated ability to close win-win deals, successfully communicating the Pen value proposition.
      • Other responsibilities as assigned.

      Key Metrics

      • 10+ new RFQs are generated per week.
      • 3+ client meetings (in-person or virtual) per week.
      • 100% CRM activity documentation and pipeline tracking.
      • Quarterly improvement in quote-to-close ratio.

      What We're Looking For

      • 2+ years of individual contributor B2B sales experience in precision sheet metal, CNC machining, or contract manufacturing.
      • Demonstrated ability to build and close a pipeline through independent effort and outbound prospecting.
      • Strong communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills in technical sales environments.
      • CRM proficiency and ownership of sales metrics and reporting, Salesmate preferred
      • Based in Southern California with the ability to travel to customer locations.
