      Business Development, Specialist, Merchants Activation

      The Business Development, Specialist, Merchants Activation will be responsible for providing account management and day - to - day analytical support. You will work collaboratively with internal business units to identify and assess partnership opportunities and help bring them to life. You help promote the implementation, growth , and geographical reach of Interac products and services, and in doing so you position the Interac brand as a leading innovative solutions provider in Canada and beyond.

      You’ll be responsible for :

      • Building and maintaining internal stakeholder relationships with Product, Finance, Legal , and other functional departments.

      • Budget management by assisting with tracking, balancing, and processing i nvoices.

      • Identifying market trends by collecting and analyzing external industry and marketplace data that we can share with our p artners.

      • Organizing and coordinating key projects, activities, and initiatives through consultation with internal stakeholders.

      • Understand ing clients’ business needs and the Interac product solutions offering to support optimal technology alignment and maximize value for the client and Interac .

      • Develop ing and execut ing account plans and identify ing new sales and revenue generating opportunities as appropriate by u tilizing a consultative sales approach which ensures a profitable outcome for both Interac and its clients.

      • Act ing as the primary contact for the client and work ing with internal customer support and project management teams to support long-term client growth.

      • Support ing Product Development by collaborating cross-functionally with Interac product teams by sharing client strategies and priorities, socializing new concepts , and testing solutions and business models with clients.

      • Collaborating with partner technology vendors .

      You bring:

      • 3+ years' experience in Sales and/or Partner Analytics .

      • 1-2 years in a n a nalytical role supporting Business Development activities .

      • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity .

      • Retail/Merchant client or analytics experience .

      • Data Platform (i.e., Tableau or similar) knowledge ( asset ).

      • The a bility and desire to work wit h emerging technology and a dynamic market environment .

      • Demonstrated consultative client management , sales skills and success in planning, managing, and closing sales.

      • The a bility to manage multiple stakeholders across all levels of an organization with divergent objectives .

      • Excellent strategic thinking, planning, and negotiation skills.

      • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal.

      • Knowledge of relationship management practices with the demonstrated ability to build sustainable working relationships.

      • Commitment to respectful collaboration with colleagues to affect efficient and constructive outcomes.
