      Overview

      The Business Partner is an integral part of the healthcare team who is accountable for crafting partnerships to deliver outstanding care by involving volunteers meaningfully and delivering valuable outcomes. This role coordinates onboarding and engages volunteers to provide high quality service to designated customers. Responsible for daily operations of the department.

      Responsibilities

      Onboards New Volunteers

      • Provides efficient and outstanding customer service to all volunteer applicants through the application process.
      • Identifies barriers in onboarding process and raises for continuous improvement.
      • Engages in site and system strategy to ensure volunteer resources are processed to support high priority roles
      • Builds positive relationships with internal partners that support volunteer onboarding (HR, EOHS, etc.)

      Ensures Records Meet Goals/Compliance Standards

      • Ensure the required volunteer documentation is in place and current.
      • Implements and maintains competency assessment according to Joint Commission standards.
      • Manages and maintains annual required learning documents according to hospital guidelines.

      Focuses on Customer Experience

      • Understands the importance of Customer Experience Service Standards, Safety Always and guides volunteers to exhibit excellent in these areas.
      • Provides ongoing informal and formal recognition of the volunteers.
      • Develops and maintains standard work.

      Organization Expectations, as applicable:

      • Shown ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.
      • Partners with patient care giver in care/decision making
      • Communicates in a respective manner and e nsures a safe, secure environment.
      • Individualizes plan of care and provides education to meet patient needs
      • Fulfills all organizational requirements by completing required learning and follows and maintains knowledge of all relevant laws, regulation, policies, procedures and standards.
      • Supports improvement, efficiency and innovative thinking.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      Qualifications

      Required Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Management, Education, or related field
      • 1-3 years of experience in a sophisticated work environment
      • Exceptional Customer Experience skills
      • Ability to work effectively in a customer-facing environment
      • Change management, process improvement and team building

      Preferred Qualifications

      • Experience in a healthcare experience
      • Database management (Volgistics)
      • Digital literacy – Sophisticated knowledge of Excel software programs including pivot tables and writing formulas and Microsoft Office
      • Business writing skills
      • SharePoint
      • LEAN setting
      • CAVS, CVS
