What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with laboratory SMEs, scientists, and business stakeholders to document and translate scientific requirements into functional specifications for software engineers
- Verify developed solutions meet intended requirements in partnership with QA and laboratory SMEs
- Create and manage epics and stories in Jira that outline business and technical requirements
- Develop process flow diagrams and visual references in Confluence to illustrate requirements
- Analyze laboratory workflows to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of SDLC and software validation practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with StarLIMS or other enterprise laboratory information management systems
- Direct experience with laboratory workflows and compliance standards (CLIA, CAP, FDA)
- Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and similar project management tools
