      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct thorough research and provide expert analysis on complex tax inquiries related to Sales, Use, and Withholding taxes, Corporate Income Tax, and Michigan Business Tax
      - Assist in interpreting and applying Michigan tax laws, policies, and procedures
      - Respond to technical inquiries from taxpayers, tax professionals, and internal stakeholders
      - Prepare and present cases for informal conferences before the Hearings Division
      - Analyze the impact of new legislation and provide recommendations to Treasury leadership

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Must possess a bachelor's degree in any major
      - Minimum of one year of professional experience for Departmental Analyst 10 level
      - Minimum of two years of professional experience, including one year at the intermediate level for Departmental Analyst P11
      - Minimum of three years of professional experience, including one year at the experienced level for Departmental Analyst 12
      - Strong analytical and legal research skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience interpreting and applying complex tax laws and regulations
      - A deep understanding of Michigan's SUW, CIT, and MBT tax structures
      - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
      - Familiarity with Treasury tax-related software systems
      - Previous experience in a government or finance-related role
