What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide front-line operational support to Veterans by directing them to appropriate resources
- Engage with Veterans to connect them with the right assistance in potentially stressful situations
- Accurately record call details and service requests in a timely manner
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with VA employees and the public
- Navigate a multi-screen computer system while assisting callers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of six (6) months of consecutive call center or contact center experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder, with proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
- High-speed internet connection with specific speed requirements
- Ergonomically sound work-at-home environment conducive to taking customer calls
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with military and veteran community programs
- Proven ability to handle difficult calls calmly and effectively
- Previous experience in customer service roles, particularly in a support capacity
